Phonak ‘Exelia Art’

Phonak’s new top of the range hearing aid, ‘Exelia Art’ incorporates innovative features such as ‘SoundRecover’, ‘DuoPhone’ and ‘ZoomControl’ along with their usual range of advanced features.

SoundRecover enables you to hear the high frequency sounds that you may otherwise not hear. This feature means that you can follow conversation with ease, hear the birds singing and enjoy children laughing. DuoPhone is another new feature and this allows you to hear on the telephone with ease. As soon as the phone is held up to the hearing aid, the conversation is automatically heard in both ears and background noise is reduced, thus improving clarity.

ZoomControl is a very useful new feature that enables you to focus on speakers who are not facing you, such as when in a restaurant, driving a car or when walking with a friend. This feature allows the wearer to set the directionality of the hearing aid to the signal source and focus the amplification on this speaker to reduce unwanted background noise.

This new range of hearing aids are also compatible with modern wireless technology enabling connectivity to a mobile phone, TV, computer, land-line telephone and music via Bluetooth, directly into the hearing aids.

Oticon Dual

The Oticon Dual Connect hearing aids have the hearing aid speaker housed in the ear canal, enabling the hearing aid behind the ear to be small and discrete. The Dual Connect hearing aids can communicate with each other wirelessly and therefore provide the brain with a clearer sound picture.

By giving the brain the auditory signals in the way nature intended, you will experience all the sounds around you in their natural arrangement so that you can intuitively locate, separate and single out individual sounds and voices with less effort.

The Dual Connect range can also include an extended frequency bandwidth which gives you access to more speech information such as the sharp, soft consonants /s/, /f/ and /th/.
